Description
These are well-rooted young plants ready to go into the garden and looking somewhat like a dark green afro in a pot with their curled fine nearly hair-like leaves. This member of the Apiaceae is a very hardy species native to the Balkans and is easily good to zone 5 if not lower. Finely dissected foliage supports white umbels of flowers which draw in the nectar feeders in early summer. Excellent for the cottage garden or the wild garden - a true Renaissance Plant. Thanks to our friends at the wonderful Free Spirit Nursery in British Columbia for sharing seeds with us.
