Plant Origin

Here is a place you can sort and find plants by the countries where they are found growing as natives. We get this question a lot and it is reassuring to us that there are other people like us out there who like to know these things. Often a country of origin can be a quick clue that this might be a good plant for your climate if the origin is narrow enough say for example Slovenia as opposed to a plant found throughout much of Europe. Mostly we find a lot of expats just want a little bit of their homeland in their garden or are simply fascinated by Asian flora or that vacation in Corsica - sure wish we could have brought that peony home we saw on that hike into the hills!
