Sun or Shade Exposure Requirements

Plants are grouped according to where they do best; however, there's a lot of variability depending on local conditions. In mild areas of the Pacific Northwest, plants that prefer shade can do fine in part sun. Others that prefer part sun, will do fine in full sun if protected from drying winds.
